... going to lie and say that this book was perfect. The writing was a little rough

I'm not going to lie and say that this book was perfect. The style of writing isn't my cup of tea, and the ending was a little quick.
HOWEVER,
But I will say that it is some of the most clever, funny writing I've read in some time. I enjoyed it the entire time I was reading. The characters were unique and creative. The situations were bizarre and brilliant. I laughed, I gagged, I probably learned things I didn't need to know.
I don't regret buying this book for a second and I have already started recommending it to people I know, and with this review, people I don't.

The Truth

I've thoroughly enjoyed the writing I've read of Adam Spielman. BOOK OF JIM feels more like a philosophy lecture than a novel, though there is a narrative, some great dialog, and some totally oddball scenes. The story is clever without calling attention to its cleverness. It's funny, it's thought-provoking. I'm going to go ahead and give the book 5 stars even though it's not perfect. But a book shouldn't be rated on a scale of perfection anyway, but how effectively it achieves its goals. And I think Adam nailed the objectives he set out to accomplish when writing BOOK OF JIM.
