THE BEST GRE PREPARATION

I can't praise these books enough! Can I give a 6th star? They are so easy to read and the techniques are very easy to pick up and use. I bought three of the Manhattan Prep books in preparation for the GRE, but I primarily used this one because I struggled the most with verbal passages. In fact, I struggled a fair amount with the English section in general, but with the use of this book and a couple other resources (GRE Vocab Capacity, Manhattan Prep Advanced Words Flashcards), I got in the 80th percentile on the GRE Verbal section. These books had the right strategies for me, and I highly recommend them to boost your GRE score. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

a decent study guide

I'm halfway done with reading this book to study for the general GRE exam. The explanations for the correct answers for the short and long passages are clear. However, I like the overall strategies presented in "GRE for Dummies" better than this book. I think you'll be best served by having multiple study sources than only having one book.

Best GRE Reading Comp Strategy book!

With the GRE selections being presented only on a screen, this volume very effectively guides you to break down passages and quickly address the questions. I only took the GRE once. The tips in this book helped me get a 166 on the verbal section. I highly recommend this.
