Buena historia

Me gusta cómo Eric relata, su forma amena y sencilla de escribir y cómo desarrolla la psicología de los personajes. La historia está contada en primera persona, el lado de Logan, y podemos apreciar cómo a través de sus ojos no sólo él va cambiando sino todos a su alrededor. ¿Será que su visión de la gente es la que cambia; o es que los que lo rodean también, como él, están experimentando una metamorfosis?
La sensación que tuve al leer el libro fue que estaba como separado en dos partes bien marcadas debido a los cambios internos que se producen en Logan, a la metamorfosis que se está produciendo alocadamente en su personalidad. Y el autor sabe mostrarlo muy bien, aunque para mi gusto vuelca demasiado en la escritura la confusión de Logan en algunos momentos.
La primera parte es bien lineal y abarca desde que Logan y Brock se conocen y cómo transcurre su relación hasta que tienen un tórrido romance. La segunda parte podría decirse que comienza cuando Logan espera más de lo que Brock está dispuesto a dar, entonces hace un paso al costado y emprende un viaje que cree le abrirá las puertas a la inspiración que está necesitando para poder terminar su nueva novela (la que va de mal en peor desde que Brock dejó de ser su editor y ha tomado las riendas de guiarlo una de las mejores editoras pero la mujer más arisca y ¿“arpía”? que Logan haya conocido).
En su viaje conoce a dos mujeres, que lo reconocen a simple vista y se transforman de alguna manera en sus mecenas. Un viaje que iba a ser corto resultó en uno sin fecha de regreso. ¿Será porque Logan no puede soportar volver a su rutina, a su vida perfectamente planificada, llena de listas y de tareas que cumplir? En su afán por romper su rutinaria vida se pierde en un estilo de vida que no se acomoda a él, pero del cual es difícil salir.
¿Tendrán Brock y Logan su felices para siempre?
La novela es buena, la primera parte (al menos la que yo considero primera parte) me encantó, aunque desde que Logan emprende su viaje de “descubrimiento” se torna todo algo confuso como la propia cabeza de Logan, perdiendo de alguna manera la chispa y la picardía que venían teniendo los diálogos internos del escritor.
